In 2019 Mr. Awartani co-founded Silver Coast International General Trading, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, where he is Managing Partner. The company supplies agricultural, landscaping and irrigation products and services.
Its distribution business includes both its own group’s products and products from international manufacturers. It is the exclusive distributor of United Irrigation Technologies products. It also distributes products from Hunter (U.S.A.) and Elysee (Cyprus).
United Irrigation Technologies
A year later, in 2020, Mr. Awartani co-founded United Irrigation Technologies, a facility that manufactures advanced drip irrigation systems. His site describes its purpose as conserving water and raising crop yields. Drip irrigation delivers water directly to the root zone of plants, which uses less water than flooding or spraying fields.
The trading company was set up first and the manufacturer a year later. As a result, United Irrigation Technologies had a distributor within the same group from its start. Silver Coast International General Trading had in turn already been distributing irrigation products from other manufacturers before then.
